Ariel, a 13-year-old girl, visits Dr Merian's estate, a place that seems to promise an idyllic summer in the heart of nature. There, she meets René, a teenager who works on the estate, and together they experience the magic of first love, full of late-night escapades, laughter, and shared secrets. However, this idyllic setting is shattered when Dr Merian, the owner, abuses René. In an attempt to protect her friend, Ariel turns to Val, Dr Merian's daughter, who must find the courage to stand up to her father.
