From the soil and mineral substrate, a community garden emerges on the outskirts of one of Spain's most intercultural cities, Salt. Here, humans, vegetables, and insects from various places and origins intertwine, weaving new networks of mutual support and unprecedented symbiotic interactions between human and more-than-human cultures.

Hortus-humus is a non-fiction film that envisions the projection screen as a meeting space, a community garden, to immerse us in this organic multicultural ecosystem where species of diverse origin mix to imagine new ways of striving to continue life in a wounded world.
