In the vastness of the Sea of Cortez, Mexico, a group of women in kayaks seeks to intimately connect with humpback whales, earning their consent and voluntary participation in a documentary. Leaving behind roaring engines and tourist crowds, their physical journey becomes an inner one, testing fears and reshaping their bond with nature. Alba and her companions paddle uncharted waters, facing wild storms, police harassment, and fines. Their first encounter with a whale ends abruptly, scared off by a startled shout. Gradually, they learn to move with the ocean's rhythm, embracing silence and humility. Only then do the whales approach, sensing the empathy they sought.
