Why do so many young Africans dream of Europe? Are they aware of the journey's dangers and the reality awaiting them?

Sunu Gaal (Our cayuco) follows young Senegalese lives through Mariatou, an 18-year-old girl eager to leave; Árfa, a teenage fisherman; and Aliou, who bets online to fund his trip. The documentary reveals a generation aware of European racism, of colonialism draining their country's resources, and of the hunger for feminism among girls demanding freedom. We meet young people who are determined, prepared, and have a clear goal: to travel, despite knowing they may never make it.
