In a Valencian village, after the Spanish Civil War, Ana tries to move on with her family. The war has left a deep wound in all of them, especially in her brother-in-law, Antonio. Ana tries to heal that wound with stews, secrets, and silences, but when Isabel, newly married to Antonio, joins the family, Ana's care and attention will be of little use: sacrifice does not always have its reward.
