André and Maria meet in the spring of 1968 when André comes to photograph the castle in La Calahorra village, and they fall madly in love. Maria senses the dead through 'the cold', and André helps her materialize it through a photographic game. The couple will undertake the dangerous task of photographing spirits so that people can get closure for the grief they have carried since the beginning of the Spanish dictatorship.
