Cristina is sixteen years old and lives in a small town in Valencia, where what people say about you and keeping up appearances in front of others, are the most important things. It is the week in which the patron saint's holidays are celebrated, and Cristina receives the news that her father has just left home. According to tradition, on the last day of the festivity, fathers and daughters must dance a traditional paso doble in the town square. Cristina is getting ready for this dance, wondering whether her father will return.
