Ruth

Maya (26), a young Londoner, travels alone to the small home town of her girlfriend (Ruth, 23), who has died in an accident. She knows no one, and no one knows her. When she arrives at the family home she feels completely out of place, the world from which her girlfriend comes, is very alien to her. Despite her fear, Maya wants to say goodbye to Ruth and say a few words at the funeral, but Ruth's sister Clara would rather not. Ruth was not out of the closet in the village. Maya is shocked and confused, she had never discussed this with Ruth and now she is relegated to being the 'friend from London'.
